01 / Brief
Edition wanted to bring a more distinctive rhythm to its independent publication. The challenge was to hold varied contributors and subjects together without making every story look the same.
02 / Approach
We built a flexible editorial grid with a clear hierarchy for long reads, short features and visual essays. A restrained typographic palette and a repeatable cover system gave the publication consistency, while shifts in scale created room for individual stories.
03 / Outcome
The redesigned publication feels cohesive from cover to final page, with enough range to support future issues. The editorial team received reusable layouts and production rules that simplify handovers between contributors and designers.
